     Listed in 1870 Census as living with mother and siblings in Wilkes-Barre.
Age listed as 18.
Occupation listed as laborer.

Age listed as 28 in 1880 Census. Occupation listed as Stone Mason. Living with him at 30 Hill Street at that time were his daughter Anna, age 5, son Charles, age 3 and mother Mary, age 62. Frank's name spelled MIHM at this time. No wife listed with them.

Frank's age listed as 48 in 1900 Census. Born 1851 in Germany.
Living on South Wells Street at this time, with daughter Annie MEHM (note in 1910 Census Annie's name listed as MILLER), grandson Edward MILLER and a woman named Elizabeth HELFER. Edward MILLER's dob: June 1898, age 1. Elizabeth's dob: Oct 1818, age 81. Don't know if she was related.

Frank was living on South Welles Street in 1905.

1910 Census lists Frank MEHM living at 241 Welles Street in Wilkes-Barre. Also living with him was his daughter Annie MILLER, age 35, and grandson Edward, age 11. No wife was shown on this Census for Frank, no husband shown for Annie.
Frank's place of birth listed as PA in 1910 Census. Occupation listed as Foreman - Water Co.

Have Frank's obituary, W-B Record, Tues. Dec. 7, 1915. It's rather extensive. He was killed be a train while walking across the tracks. Says he came to this country as a boy of about 16 years. (Would have been about 1868).

FUNERAL NOTICE, W-B Record, Wed. Dec. 8, 1915
The funeral of Frank Mehm will be held from the family home, 241 South Welles Street, Thursday morning at 9:15. A requiem high mass will be celebrated in St. Nicholas German Catholic Church at 10 o' clock. Interment in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery.

I found information on the internet that describes "Confinement" as the period of time before/during and after childbirth when the woman was confined to her house.

Funeral notice in the Luzerne Union:
Paper dated Wed. Feb. 6, 1878

The funeral of Mrs. Frank Mehm from her late residence on Wells Street Sunday afternoon was largely attended. A husband and four children are left to mourn at their great loss.

Individual Note:
     1900 Census Soundex lists daughter Annie Mehm living at Frank Sr.'s home on South Wells. age 25. Also living there was Edward Miller, (grandchild) age 1, born June 1898, and Elizabeth Helfer, age 81, born Oct 1818 in Germany.
Not sure who this Elizabeth Helfer is, possibly mother of Edward Miller, Annie's husband?
Wonder why Annie was listed as MEHM not MILLER, maybe not married at that time??

1930 Census lists Anna Mehm (55), Widowed, not employed, living at 241 Welles Street, with son Edward Mehm (32). Occup. Shipping Clerk, Dry Goods. Also living at this address is Frank Storz, (42), a roomer. Occup: laborer, odd jobs.
(Living near (at 137 Welles?? maybe 237??) is Anna Mehm and Catherine Titus).

Obituary:
Times-Leader Saturday July 14, 1856
Mrs. Anna Mehm Miller, aged resident of 241 South Welles Street, City, died this morning in Mercy Hospital following several days of illness.
Born in W-B, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Mehm. She was the widow of the late Edward Miller. She was a member of St. Nicholas Church, City, and it's Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by a neice, Mrs. W. H. Morgan, Shavertown, and a nephew, Paul Mehm, W-B. A son, Edward, shipping clerk at Bergman's Department Store for 40 years died in December 1954.
The body has been taken to the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street, City, from where the funeral will be held Mondaty morning at 9, followed by a requiem mass at 9:30 in St. Nicholas Church. Interment will be in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 3, and 7 to 10 pm.
