Funeral of Mrs. Mehm
The remains of Mrs. Elizabeth Mehm were yesterday interred after requiem mass in St. Nicholas Church by Father Balta.
The flower bearers were Thomas Hughes and John Sheridan. The pall bearers were: John Murphy, William SAchuler, Adam Gabel, Frank Schuler, Martin Murray and Martin Gallagher. Those who sent floral tributes were the husband, the family, Thomas Flynn, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Byron, Miss Anna Sheridan, Gertrude Bunny, Mr. and Mrs. Goeckel, Mr. and Mrs. Kraig, Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Rushmeir, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Long, Mrs. Storz, Anna Lehman, Thomas Higgins, Anna and Katie Rooney, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hirsch and Lillie Kricham.

Bil Corcoran has Leopold born 17 Nov. 1821, in Deirsburg, Baden Germany. Died 19 Ju.l 1902. Buried in Darling Street Cemetery.

I have e-mail from another Joe (nmax1@aol.com) 16 mar 1997, stating his gggrandfather was Johann Georg Storz. Johann had a brother named Leopold, and Johann settled in the W-B area. Joe says Johann left Dirsburg, Baden in 1864. This could be my Leopold's brother.

The late Leopold Storz.
Leopold Storz died at his home, 50 Lehigh Street, of general debility on Saturday morning. He was born in Baden, Germany, on the 17th of Novenmber, 1821, and reached the age of 80 years, 8 months and 2 days.
For more than twenty years he was employed by the late Charles Parrish as mine boss at the old Diamond shaft, after which he conducted a hotel on Lehigh Street, but for the last 15 years has not been engaged in any business. The deceased is survived by his wife and the following children: William of this city, John of Pittston, Charles of South Dakota and Sister Evangelista, at present at the St. Louis House of the sisters of Christian Charity.
Mr. Storz has always been an ernest member of St. Nicholas Church, where at 10 o'clock this morning a requiem high mass will be said. Interment will be in the German Catholic Cemetery on Darling Street. Members of St. Nicholas and St. Joseph Societies are requested to attend the funeral.
The funeral will leave the house, 50 Lehigh Street, at 9:30 this morning.
