Death of Christian Brahl.
Christian Brahl, who was in the employ of Mrs. Col. A. H. Bowman for over thirty years and who was well known by most of the older residents of this city, died yesterday morning at the City Hospital, where he had been under treatment for the last five weeks. His sudden death was a great surprise to his friends, as his illness was not considered serious. He was born in Germany and was 69 years of age. He served faithfully during the War of the Rebellion. He was a brother of Chriostopher Brahl and Mrs. Elizabeth Mehm of this city, both of whom survive him. The funeral will take place from St. Nicholas Catholic Church at 3:30 on Sunday afternoon.
