Note:   According to notes received from Joseph Mehm of New York, the Mehm family came from the village of Innfeld, which is located on the Rhine River, next to the city of Darmstadt. Innfeld is in the Black Forest region of Southern Germany, in the county or district of Hesse.
The Mehm name was Mihm in Germany.

Found in a book titled: German Immigrants - Bremen to NY 1847 - 1854:
Caspar Mihm, age 26; George, age 73; Margareth, age 37; Elisabeth, age 32; Matilda, age 29. Residence: all from Dreschhoff. Date of arrival: Sept. 30, 1851. Ship: Charlotte Read.
Could this be the same Caspar family?????
Age of Caspar is exactly right.
